About PCMark Vantage
PCMark Vantage is a benchmark application developed by Futuremark to measure the overall performance of Windows-based systems, specifically Windows Vista and Windows 7. The benchmark runs a series of tests based on real usage scenarios, covering activities such as photo editing, HD video processing, light gaming, web browsing, and data encryption. Each test is categorized into suites such as Memories, TV and Movies, Gaming, Music, Communications, Productivity, and HDD Test Suite, each of which assesses the specific performance of the CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage. Test results are provided in the form of a total score and a score per suite, which can be used to compare the performance of various systems or measure the impact of a particular hardware upgrade.
