About PCMark10 Extended

PCMark 10 Extended is a benchmark variant of PCMark 10 that offers a more thorough test of Windows system performance with a wider range of workloads. Besides covering all the standard tests of PCMark 10 such as Essentials (web browsing, video conferencing, lightweight applications) and Productivity (document and spreadsheet processing), PCMark 10 Extended adds two additional test areas, namely Digital Content Creation and Gaming. These additional tests include workloads such as photo editing, video editing, 3D rendering, as well as DirectX 11-based gaming benchmarks to measure graphics and CPU performance in demanding scenarios. This Extended mode is ideal for assessing systems that are not only used for office work, but also for creative content creation and mainstream gaming. The final scores are presented in four main categories as well as a total score, providing a more comprehensive picture of a PC's capabilities in various aspects.
