About 3DMark Vantage - Performance

3DMark Vantage - Performance is the main preset in the 3DMark Vantage benchmark designed to measure the performance of gaming systems at mainstream to high-end levels. This preset runs a series of graphics and physics tests at a default resolution of 1280x1024, using DirectX 10 graphics features such as dynamic shadows, advanced lighting, particle systems and complex shaders. 3DMark Vantage - Performance balances the workload between the GPU and CPU, where the final score is divided into Graphics Score, CPU Score, and Overall Score. This test aims to simulate the actual gaming experience back in the days when DirectX 10 was just introduced, testing graphics rendering capabilities, physical processing power by the processor, as well as overall system stability. This benchmark is still used in the overclocking community to measure performance scaling of classic to semi-modern systems.
