About GFXBench – T-Rex ES 2.0
GFXBench - T-Rex ES 2.0 is a graphics benchmark test to measure GPU performance in rendering 3D graphics on mobile devices, using OpenGL ES 2.0. The test features scenes with relatively simple 3D models, but is still challenging to test on a mobile device, testing the GPU's ability to handle dynamic lighting, shadows, textures, and rendering 3D objects efficiently. T-Rex tests the GPU's ability to deal with scenes that require basic graphics processing but with enough load to provide useful insights into mobile device performance.
This benchmark is used to test the device across a wide range of resolutions and graphics settings, giving an idea of how well the device can handle apps and games with light to medium 3D graphics. The results of this test are particularly useful for assessing whether the device can maintain a stable frame rate in simpler mobile graphics scenarios, suitable for assessing entry-level to mid-range devices.
